About the club

Established in 2007, the Helsinki Heatseekers are the oldest Australian Rules Football team in Finland. The club are 7 time FAFL Premiers having won the league in 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021. 

We play the European style of Australian Football, featuring 9 players on the ground instead of 18 and play on a rectangular field rather than an oval. 

We are a social team, open to all players interested in the great game of Aussie Rules, no matter age, gender, size or skill level. Our current team features Finnish, Australian, Polish, Ukrainian, Dutch, French, Slovenian, American and Irish players, no matter what previous sport you have experience in (or lack thereof) you are sure to find a crossover in one of the many aspects of Australian Rules Football!
